System (LVSCS) of the Valley Leach Facility (VLF)
Dear Mr. Keffelew:
In response to your request for an improvement plan for the Phase IVb LVSCS of the VLF,
CC&V herein submits the following.
The Current Situation
Based on a review of historical monitoring data, it appears that in mid-July the quantity of water
flowing into (and out of) the sump increased from its typical range of 40-50 gpm to a range of
55-60 gpm. On or about August 2, 2007, a booster pump was used to augment the performance
of Pump #1.
The two transducers within Phase P/b LVSCS of the VLF began to indicate levels of over (24)
twenty four inches during the afternoon of Sunday, August 5, 2007.
