ORIGINAL -PUBLIC FILE <br />(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: nn_tean_~ed <br />INSPECTION DATE: 51510 INSPECTORES INITIALS: ~- <br />OBSERVATION <br />The Division conducted a monthly monitoring inspection of the site on 5/5/06. Present during the inspection <br />were Gray Goodrich and Jeff Campbell of CC&V. Prior to the inspection a brief discussion was held regarding <br />the request made by CCTV about reclaiming Phase V of the Arequa was storage area. CCB.V had requested <br />to temporarily raise the height of Phase V of the Adequate waste storage area to 400 feet and reclaim the <br />dump with in 90 days as approved in Amendment # 8. Given the raid rise of the price of Gold, and in <br />anticipation of future potential for the area, CC&V is now withdrawing their plan to reclaim the Phase v dump <br />ahead of schedule. The reclamation and height of fhe dump will remain as was approved by the MLRD BOARD <br />under Amendment # 8 approval in August 2000. <br />Inspected the crusher area, it was active at the time of the inspection, Inspected the West, Main, South and <br />East Cresson areas, they were all active at the time of the inspection. East Cresson back fill is continuing as <br />approved. The Phase I of the East Cresson that was backfilled as approved by DMG, is expected to be graded, <br />top soled and seeded by the end of the FALL SEASON. Inspected the old pad 3 &4 areas, CC&V plans to <br />remove the detoxified spent ore as soon as possible and place them in staging areas along their exploration <br />activity to be used as stemming. South Cresson mine expansion cannot proceed until the spent ore is removed <br />and liner buried in one of the East Cresson pits that are being backfilled. <br />Inspected the Phase I,II, III&IV leach pads and collected the following readings from the High and Low Volume <br />Solution Collection Transducers. <br />High Volume Solution Collection Transducer # 2 was recorded at 24.6 and # 2 as at24.2. Low Volume Solution <br />Collection Transducer # 1 was recorded at . ] 4 and # 2 was at .5. <br />High Volume Solution Collection Transducer # 4 was recorded at 19.1 # 5 was at 18.6 and # b was at 18.8. Low <br />Volume Solution Collection Transducer # 1 was at .Ob.and # 2 was at .37. Piezometer for the pond was at 28.7 <br />feet. <br />High Volume Solution Collection Transducer # 7 was recorded at 1 1.4 # 8 was at 10.2, # 9 was at 1 1.1 and 10 <br />was at 1 1.4. Low Volume Solution Collection Transducer # 1 was at 1 1.2 and # 2 was at 4,6 inches of hydrostatic <br />head. <br />Inspected the External pond, it was holding some water. Low volume solution collection transducer for the <br />pond were at 1 1.7 and 9.7 inches of hydrostatic head. Inspected the under drain both the South and North <br />under drain were dry.
