~. <br /> <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the <br />inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or <br />evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This partial inspection of the Blue Flame Coal Mine was conducted by DMG staff from <br />the Durango Office, 701 Camino Del Rio, Room 125, Durango, CO 81301, phone (970) <br />247-5469. The permit for the Blue Flame Coal Mine was revoked over 5 years ago. <br />Financial warranty was forfeited and utilized for final reclamation. No activities were <br />observed, no personnel encountered during the time of this inspection. <br />No significant changes were observed since the last inspection. Snow cover, <br />approximately 2" depth, covered the permit area. Backfilled and graded areas <br />appeared stable, evidence of slope failure, slope movement or excessive erosion was <br />not observed. Reclamation vegetation was well established. Mine access roads have <br />remained to provide access to adjacent agricultural fields. Russian knapweed was <br />observed on the access road. <br />
