Carter and Dan Hernandez from the Divbion of Minerals and Geology performed a <br />partial Inspection of the Coal Ridge Mee. During the irrepection the weather was dear end mAd. <br />B4ide: <br />The roads into the mine are in good and stable condition. Most of the roads within the mine site are well <br />covered with vegetation <br />• The V ulcan ditch as well as ditch i!s 2 and 5 wen; carrying water fior irrigation of the pasture <br />north of the site. <br />• Ditch 1 west of ditch 2, ditch 3, ditch 4 and ditch 6 was found to be dry during this inspection. <br />• The western porticm of the sediment pond was found to camtain a small amount of water, well <br />below the primary spillway. <br />No slide, slippage or other type of damage was noted during the inspectia~n. <br />Ali: <br />• Weed control: <br />Knapweed, three diRerent types of thistle and Hound's tongue appear to be spreading through the mine <br />site. Some of these weeds appear m be migratlng otf the site at several locatlons and need m be vigorousy <br />controlled. Please nobly the Division of the chemical used, the rate of applk~tion and the date when <br />treatmerrt was performed. Thin will eaefat in the evaluation of the performance of the currant weed control <br />program. <br />
