It contains water bars and
berms. There were no Canada thistle plants evident. This lower portion of the site contains deeper soil than the upper
slopes. The road surface is mainly dirt, and future maintenance of this portion may yield additional topsoil-type material
which can be used in reclamation.
This lower (southern) end of the permit area is close to the new lower permit boundary. The operator should monitor for
stormwater runoff and sediment transport from the roads and dump, and discharge from Adit 1. There should be no surface
discharge from the adit unless a permit is obtained from the Colo Dept of Health. (The underground water should percolate
into the ground prior to leaving the permitted area.)
This inspector appreciates the operator's prompt responses with correcting problems observed at the last inspection.
No further items were observed or discussed during the inspection. There were no problems noted. Responses to this
inspection report should be directed to the Division of Minerals and Geology, 701 Camino del Rio, Room 125, Durango,
Colorado 81301, Attn: Bob Oswald; phone no. 970-247-5193.
I & E Contact Address
NAME James Bender
OPERATOR Deadwood Gulch Minino Co.
STREET 5529 US Hwy 64
CITY/STATE/ZIP Farmington NM 87401
cc: Harry Posey, DMG
^ CE
^ BL
^ FS
^ HW
^ HMWMD (CHI
^ SE
^ WOCD (CH)
^ OTHER
