• i
BOND RELEASE - 2
INSPECTION DATE: September 15, 1986
FILE NO.: M-77-424
COMMENTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Areas which can be released at this time:
A5 - This area is a bit sparse from too much grazing pressure but must
now be considered as a responsibility of the BLM.
A7 - This area is an example of excellent reclamation.
A21 - Vegetation is well established on this area. The fence may be
removed.
A22 - Vegetation is well established. Please remove the fence.
B1 - Drill rows are still obvious but the vegetation cover is similar to
surrounding vegetation and has much more useful composition for grazing
use.
B4 - Vegetation is well established. Please remove the fence.
B6 - This area probably shows the best diversity and looks more
'natural' than any other area that has been revegetated. The Division
comments the operator for an exemplary reclamation job.
B9 - Vegetation is well established.
B10 - Grading could be better on the south side of this area but
vegetation is well established.
B11 - This area looks especially good.
Areas which must have grazing deferred for at least two years prior to release
requests:
A6 -This area has a bad problem with kno~weed invasion and erosion
from the ditch running through area A 7 above it. The ditch should be
rip rapped or stepped down with check dams and rip rap and the entire
bottom park reseeded with the permit approved seed mixture. The eastern
side of this area also appears as if emergence success was not as good
as it should have been. The operator may want to interseed this area
with a drill so as not to destroy the sparse vegetation that has
established on the hillside.
