MINE 1D # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-94-093
INSPECTION DATE 9/21/2000
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS TAS
The following oroblems (PB) and/or possible violations (PV) (and suggested corrective
actions) were identified during this inspection. The problems should be corrected by the
dates given, or they will become possible violations. The possible violations should be
corrected by the dates given to reduce their severity when considered by the Mined Land
Reclamation Board. The inspector noted on the previous page should be notified of all
corrective actions taken.
PROBLEMS/POSSIBLE VIOLATIONS
AND
CORRECTIVE ACTIONS
CORRECTION
DATE
1. There are number of noxious weed infestations within the November 10, 2000
affected land of the Dahlia North Resouces Pit. These
include field bindweed, Canada &/or Musk thistle, and
diffuse knapweed. The field bindweed infestation has
encroached or invaded an adjacent, offsite property owned
by Charles Brody (5001 East 88th Avenue).
CORRECTIVE ACTIONS
Submit a revised weed control plan, in the form of a
technical revision, or. or before November 10, 2000 which
includes specific provisions or control measures for each
noxious weed species present, a schedule or plan for
implementation of the various weed control treatments,
and a strategy for evaluating when the various weed
control treatments are no longer needed. Although not
specifically required, the Division recommends that the
operator also include provisions for control of the
various "pest" weed species present. Finally, the weed
control plan should specify any additional measures to be
employed in, adjacent, or near Mr. Brody's property to
help resolve the weed problem on his property.
(The operator is advised to consult with weed control
experts at either Adams County or the Colorado Dept.
of Agriculture for further information. Please see
attached directory)
(Page 9) •
PB or PV PB
TOPIC(S) RV,OD
