Simpson, P.E. <br />State Engineer <br />I've received reports (attached) from the Division of Minerals and Geology stating that the <br />above referenced gravel pits have groundwater exposed. It looks like you had visited the <br />Jesse Lee Pit back in December of 1998 and you indicated that they were initiating a <br />substitute water supply plan, however, I find no evidence that they ever submitted one. I <br />also have not found any information on the Gold Basin Mine. In this application, the <br />operator stated that they were going to obtain Twin Lakes water, I'm assuming for a supply <br />plan but I haven't found one. <br />Please inspect the sites and determine if they are out of compliance. <br />
