General Comments
No problems were noted on this inspection although a portion of the upper
bench could not be safely inspected because of the presence of two dogs. The
dogs threatened to attack the inspector. Dorchester should investigate
whether these dogs have taken up residence at the mine.
Hydrologic Balance -Rule 4.05
Most of the road and disturbed area drainage ditches have been scoured by
runoff. Although some portions of the ditches are eroded moderately deep, it
appears that the ditches have stabilized and repairing the eroded areas would
be counterproductive.
Revegetation - Rule 4.15
The subsoil stockpiles are adequately vegetated but the topsoil stockpile is
sparsely covered. Dorchester should reseed the topsoil stockpile this fall.
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel. (30'x) 866-3567
