It was found that mining
has started here. Most topsoil has been salvaged to the north and south and some gravel material has started to be mined. A
Caterpillar D6F was found on site and appeared to have been used quite recently (shiny blade and two-tined ripper). Two
excavations have been started north and east of the main disturbance and it appears as if these depressions will act as
sediment traps for all disturbance at this site. The operator is encouraged to keep these pits in place as mining progresses to
control sedimentation off site.
Signs were in place. The permit boundary was marked clearly with T posts and tape.
No problems were found during this inspection.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Carl B. Mount at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Denver Office,
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, phone number 303-866-3863.
I & E Contact Address
cc:
NAME Mr. Stanley Rasmussen
OPERATOR Rio Btanco County Road and Bridoe
STREET 17497 Hwv.64
CITY/STATE/ZIP Rangely.
