Work was completed on the
site at 4:30pm, with all of the organics removed from the north and south ends of the
pond, and an area 1/3 the length of the pond left untouched in the center of Phase II.
No cracking or sloughing had occurred on the dam by that time, and no visually noticeable
changes to dam stability.
e) Action was taken during tailings placement to try to prevent creasing and folding of the
liner. Sandbacgs were moved and replaced in order to allow for liner drift, and the
Operator was informed of the risk to the liner from folding, and asked to have the folds
worked out the next morning when the liner had tightened in the cold. The risk of rocks
in the pond was also pointed out to the Operator at this time.
Work was stopped pending design changes from MFG and approval from the Division.
I E E Contact Address
NAME Maxine Stewart
OPERATOR ITEC Environmental
STREET 707 17`" Street.
