e
III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection
and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was a partial inspection of the Arness McGriffen Mine for the month of March, 2000. The site is
under 6-10 inches of snow but remains much the same as it has over the past months.
Roads: The road to the site is snow in, rutted, and is only usable by four wheel drive vehicles. Access
to the site is very difficult at this time of year due to the poor condition of the road and the muddy
conditions as there is no gravel base to the road.
Hydrologic Balance: The site is as stable as it will ever be. Due to the 6-10 inches of snow, no
significant observations could be made.
Reclamation Success: The vegetation was not inspected.
