<br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />'I'bis aerial inspection of the Ohio Creek Mine was photographed by Hany Ranney from the <br />Division of Minerals and Geology on May 8, 1997. There was one photograph taken that shows <br />the reclaimed mine site and sedimentation pond. <br />12oads: <br />The County road into the mine site appeazs to be in very good condition. <br />The private road passing through the old mine facility appeazed to be in good, and stable <br />condition at the time of the flight. <br />fflydvoloeic Balance: <br />There appears to be very little water in the sedimentation pond at the time of the <br />photograph. <br />It appears from the photograph that water from above the mine site collects in natural <br />drainages and is directed to the center of the reclaimed mine site. <br />'~ oasoii7• <br />The topsoil pile east of the sedimentation pond appears to be stable and vegetated at this time. <br />~2~~.tian• <br />:i is unclear from this photograph as to whether the site is starting to show any germination. <br />~9ides arud II-ama2e: <br />'There appears to be some ero::ion damage caused by water through the center of the site.
