There appear to be some stockpiles of fines materials on site. These <br />materials should be maintained and used as a growth medium for <br />revegetation following mining to return the permitted land to a <br />beneficial use. <br />2. Unused stockpiles of gravel material on site could be used to help <br />partially fill the lake area and return its side slopes to less than <br />3h:ly following mining. P..lease note that waste asphalt material may not <br />be used as fill below the water surface of the lake. Contact the State <br />of Colorado Department of Health if you require more information on this <br />point. <br />3. The reclamation plan in the permit document does not appear to address <br />returning the mined area to a beneficial use.- Please inform the <br />Division how Rio Grande County will return this area to a beneficial use <br />following mining. <br />/tmb <br />Doc.
