III. Comments -Compliance
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of
observations made during the inspection. Comments also describe any
enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence

On April 23, 1992 a partial inspection was conducted at the Canadian Strip Mine.
The Canadian Strip Yine is in permanent closure and is reclaimed. A mine
representative was not present during the inspection. At the time of the
inspection the weather was cloudy and there were approximately 3 inches of
rapidly melting snow on the ground from the snowfall this morning.
The snow on county road 23A was melting but the surface was stilt very soft so
the mine was not accessed this way. Observations were made from the south end
of the Marr Strip. Pond 1 was about 25~ full.
