III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made
dunng the mspection. Comments also descnbe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection
and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action
This was an aerial inspection flown by Harry Ranney of the Colorado Division of Minerals
and Geology (Division) on Wednesday December 21, 2005. Kent Gorham of the Division
reviewed five oblique aerial photographs in the office on January 6, 2006.
Reclamation Success
The reclaimed area topography blends very well into the surrounding area. Without a map or
some prior knowledge, it is nearly impossible to determine the boundary of the former
disturbed area. Industrial uses of the road for methane gas extraction and wildlife recreation
are the only activities that occur on a regular basis at this former mine site.
The site appeared in good condition for the winter season. Nothing warranting immediate
on-the-ground inspection was noted in any of the five photographs reviewed.
