See picture above.
Coal was being hauled out by truck and train (two train loadouts were observed during this inspection).
FISH AND WILDLIFE
The current condition of raptor protection devices could not be determined for some portions of some electric
lines that were inaccessible due to snow conditions. The periodic re-inspection of these lines will be
completed upon return of conditions that permit access to the sites.
REV EGETATION
As for backfilling grading, most areas of disturbance are of long-term mining and reclamation activities.
Those areas that have been backfilled, graded, and seeded as part of the design and construction of the feature
(such as buried utility lines) were covered with snow.
SUBSIDENCE
The lit Half 2004 Subsidence Report has been amended appropriately. Areas of active subsidence were not
accessible due to deep snow cover.
EXCESS SPOIL & DEVELOPMENT WASTE
Shaft development has not been started, and no development waste cuttings have been placed in the lined pit
at the 18-Right Ventilation Shaft site to date.
RECLAMATION SUCCESS
As indicated above, surface disturbances at the Foidel Creek Mine Site aze in azeas of long-term mining
features. There has been no discrete reclamation work accomplished, and there has been no reclamation bond
release request for any portion of the permit.
