DOW to encourage minority kids into attending science related fields <br />in college also sponsored the program, with Loretta Pineda of the Division. <br />Approximately 22 kids ranging in age from five to seventeen years were <br />brought to site, with full cooperation of CC&V. The kids were given an <br />explanation of how the ore geologists determine what is ore and what is <br />waste, while parked at the bottom of the Main Cresson pit area. Proceeded <br />to the Crusher area where the kids observed the actual crushing operation <br />of the ore and placement onto the pads to be processed.
