Maintenance was <br />accomplished at a blockage of the warehouse perimeter ditch during the inspection, and a partial <br />blockage at the east entrance to the Tipple 2 loadout tunnel was scheduled next. <br />No design of appropriate sediment control measures were found in the PAP (see page 2.05-79) for the <br />temporary belt structure storage azea (currently used for scoria storage) (Sheet 1 of 1, Map 24), the <br />CYCC office azea, and the "Trudy"s corner storage and training area site now that Pond A is not <br />included in the permit area. There was no sediment impact noted at any of these sites. <br />Vegetation cover needs to be re-established on the topsoil storage pile, silt fences re-erected, or other <br />protective measures taken at the North West Mains Ventilation Shaft site. <br />The rock check dam has worked well, and now needs to be cleaned, at the # 7 North Escape Shaft. <br />After the joint inspection, and as discussed with the permittee representatives above, samples were <br />taken at various locations from streams in the region and tested for conductivity. Results are attached. <br />PROCESSING WASTE <br />Coal mine waste materials were being placed in the waste pile. All aspects were in compliance with the <br />permit. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE <br />Operations were found to be in compliance. Longwall mining was underway in the 16 Right panel. <br />Coal was being brought to the surface and stockpiled at the tipple for later load out onto trains. At least <br />
