III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was an aerial inspection flown by Harry Ranney of the Colorado Division of <br />Minerals and Geology on December 27, 2000. Four oblique aerial photos were reviewed in <br />the office by Kent Gorham of CDMG on January 9, 2000. This former underground site is <br />entirely reclaimed. Of the four photographs, one is presented in this report for <br />discussion. <br />Roads <br />Fresh snow blanketed the entire site. The access road to the permanent buildings was <br />snow-covered and showed no sign of recent travel. <br />Hydrologic Balance <br />The sediment pond at the site appeared frozen and snow-covered. Cattails are abundant <br />in the pond. Downstream of the outlet it appeared discharge was visible through the <br />fresh snow. The ditch system directing disturbed area runoff to the pond was snow- <br />covered and no sign of runoff was evident.
