Tony Waldron <br />Date of Complaint: October 26, 1999 <br />Inspection Date: October 26, 1999 <br />Date Weed Control Plan requited: February 28, 2000 <br />REC~IVE© <br />MAY 2 4 2000 <br />Division of Minpr~s ~ Geobgy <br />In msponse to the Inspection Report prepared by Tony Waldron at the Division upon completion of the <br />October 26, 1999 Division inspection, r submits the following weed control plan. <br />Thin plan will serve as the basis for difruse imapweed weed control during the 2000 field season and <br />beyond as and if required. <br />Methodology <br />Areas infested with diffuse knapweed within the ~ mine permit boundaries will be sprayed by a <br />contractor experience in these matters. The liquid application will consist of 1 pint Torden/acre and 1 <br />pound 2.4 Dlacre. Cutrenily, during the 2000 field season, it is estimated that appzoximately 20 - 60 acres <br />will be sprayed <br />A contractor will be scheduled to start spraying durittg late Mayor eazly June, 2000, weather permitting. <br />The results from this initial spraying will be evaluated later in the summer of 2000 and secondary stops, ~if ' <br />necessary, will be taken as required. <br />During the early spring on an annual basis, Company will inspect the Mine pemtit <br />azea to determine if additional spraying or other weed control measures, such as mowing, are required. If a <br />Imapweed problem continues will take whatever reasonable steps aze necessary to eliminate these <br />problems. If; for whatever reason, is not able andlor successful in controlling the knapweed ,. <br />problem at the mine,iwill contact the Division for further assistance. <br />
