(Page 2) -
• MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-80-020
INSPECTION DATE 09/17/97 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS CLK
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was conducted in response to an anonymous complaint about the Operation's
noise and business hours.
The site is in much better condition than it was in December 1996. All of the trash and junk
on the site have been consolidated and placed in the junkyard near the north end, and the
roads are better maintained, making access easier. Both the boundary markers and the permit
sign for the site are posted prominently.
The entire east bench of the site, formerly a highwall, had been graded down to 2:1 slopes,
with the exception of the last 100 feet. The west and south boundaries are now adequately
sloped and topsoiled, with some weeds coming in. It is recommended that revegetation be done
on these slopes to prevent further weed infestation.
Topsoil stockpiles, with the exception of one large pile, are still in place and do not
appear to have been depleted since December `96.
The 20' deep hole in the center of the site has been filled in halfway, with the slopes down
to the bottom of this hole at about 1:1.
The industrial/commercial portion of the site has been cleaned up and improved upon, with
maintenance done to the shop, scale house, and equipment storage buildings.
All in all, a much-improved site. The bond will be recalculated within two weeks to determine
if any decrease to the bond is possible.
I & E Contact Address
NAME Kim Haarbura
OPERATOR ARS Inc.
STREET Q~OS W.
