A site inspection of the Riley Gravel Pit was made in response to the operator's recent application fora 112 <br />Conversion. The operator has requested a conversion from 3.84 permitted acres to 19.09 permitted acres. Present <br />during the inspection was Nelson Selcer, Supervisor of the Jackson County Road & Bridge Department. <br />Z. The inspection confirmed that there are no permanent man-made structures of concern within 200 feet of the affected <br />land. There are, however, several historic log buildings and structures in the southeast corner of the permit area which <br />are scheduled to be removed and relocated offsite during final reclamation. These structures are not expected to be <br />adversely affected by the proposed mining activities. The structures are owned by Rocky Mountain, LLC. <br />3. There was a ravine (dry wash) noted along the western border of the permit area. Mr. Selcer indicated that the <br />drainage contains moisture only sporadically during the spring snowmelt season. <br />4.
