III. CommentslCompliance
This was a partial inspection conducted by Jim Burnell of CDMG on the morning of
Thursday, June 27, 2002. This site itself was quiet and deserted although there were
sheep grazing on the west side of Hubbard Creek. The weather was hot, dry and clear.
Hubbard Creek was running clear, but very low for the season -not quite one cfs. All the
signage was erected and in place. The road and gate to the site was in good repair.
The path (road) to the upper bench was stable with no erosion. Vegetative growth was good,
although sparse. The upper bench was stable, with no erosion. The lower bench was also
green, with decent, but sparse, grass growth. There was a damp area at the seep on the
west end of the lower bench, but no other sign of water. None of the underdrains were
discharging, and the ditch was dry.
Ponds 5, 4, and 3 were all dry. The embankments were stable and the discharge devices
clear.
The road up Hubbard Canyon was in very good condition.
