III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection
and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was an aerial inspection of the Ohio Creek Coal Mine #2 for the month of June, 2000
Hydrologic Balance: The site is well vegetated and very stable. The pond was dry and not
discharging. The pond is vegetated and appears to be very stable.
General Mine Compliance: The mine has suffered a little from some heavy grazing last fall. The
reclamation vegetation is not doing as well as the native vegetation so far this spring. As yet, there
are no cattle on site and hopefully, they will not graze this year.
Reclamation Success: The site appears stable and requires no action as far as reclamation is
concerned.
