III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was an aerial inspection flown by Harry Ranney of the Colorado Division of Minerals <br />and Geology on December 17, 2003. Kent Gorham of the CDMG reviewed digital oblique <br />aerial photographs in the office on January 5, 2004. This former underground mine was <br />reclaimed and reseeded in 1996 and early 1997. The weather was clear and the resolution <br />of the digital photographs was excellent. Areas visible in the photos included the adjacent <br />Toupal house and pasture, the development waste pile, pond 2 reclamation, and the topsoil <br />borrow reclaimed area <br />Reclamation Success <br />The reclaimed area was covered with a thin blanket of snow. Exposed, south-facing areas <br />appeared clear of snow. The site appeared normal with no evidence of any kind of <br />disturbance or erosional feature.
