The injection pipe
extends from the seal location back along the left rib (looking into the adit) to a point
within the radius of daylight curve. The tracer injection pipe was installed within a 4 inch
perforated flexible drain pipe to protect the system from damage. After the test, the
operator still needed to permanently install the end plug on the injection pipe and install
the stainless steel pipe, through the adit plug area, and connect it to the tested portion
of the system.
The operator is instructed to notify the Division of the date for grout injection, so the
Division can be present during that operation. During that inspection, the Division will
also evaluate the first monolithic block seal injection success.
I-& E Contact Address
NAME Alan Cox
OPERATOR Homestake Mining Cort~panv
STREET 650 alifo n+a
CITY/STATE/ZIP San Franci o California 408
cc: 'TOm Gillis, DMG
^ CE
^ BL
^ FS
^ HW
^ HMWMD (CH)
^ SE
^ WQCD (CH)
^ OTHER
