Processino Waste <br />The Refuse disposal area appeared normal and no signs of slumps, slides, seeps, or mass <br />failure were noted. Contour ditches are holding up well along the refuse highwall with no <br />evidence of failure or breaching. During quarterly inspection. these ditches should be <br />checked for excessive sedimentation that will lead to future breaching and erosion. <br />.~ <br />~- ~ .r <br />~. ~~I AFB.. ` rM <br /> <br /> <br />Revegetation <br />Due to excellent moisture in the last ten days. vegetation on the reclaimed area is beginning <br />to grow vigorously. Western wheatgrass, smooth brome, and cicer milkvetch were noted. <br />Cattle or evidence of grazing were not observed on the reclamation. The gate to the topsoil <br />pile footprint area was open. This area was greening up also, but grazing of this area should <br />be limited if the site is to be sampled this season. This is the ninth growing season of the <br />minimum ten-year liability period for revegetation. <br />Overall, the site appeared in good condition for the spring season. <br />
