Processino Waste
The Refuse disposal area appeared normal and no signs of slumps, slides, seeps, or mass
failure were noted. Contour ditches are holding up well along the refuse highwall with no
evidence of failure or breaching. During quarterly inspection. these ditches should be
checked for excessive sedimentation that will lead to future breaching and erosion.
.~
~- ~ .r
~. ~~I AFB.. ` rM

Revegetation
Due to excellent moisture in the last ten days. vegetation on the reclaimed area is beginning
to grow vigorously. Western wheatgrass, smooth brome, and cicer milkvetch were noted.
Cattle or evidence of grazing were not observed on the reclamation. The gate to the topsoil
pile footprint area was open. This area was greening up also, but grazing of this area should
be limited if the site is to be sampled this season. This is the ninth growing season of the
minimum ten-year liability period for revegetation.
Overall, the site appeared in good condition for the spring season.
