I22. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection, The comments include discussion of observations <br />made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken <br />during the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of the Colorado Division of <br />Minerals and Geology. Rick Mills represented the operator. The weather was warm and <br />dry. Vegetation has browned up. <br />RECORDS All required records were available. The records checklist is attached. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS <br />Mine i.d. signs were properly displayed. Permit boundary markers were properly <br />displayed at several locations inspected. <br />ROADS <br />Roads throughout the site were in good condition. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE <br />Pond A. Not discharging; water in pond is just below discharge level. The flume was <br />in good condition (NPDES permit CO-0027159, outfall 001). <br />Pond G. Two feet below discharge level. <br />Monitoring data. Quality data and field parameters are kept in separate binders. All <br />of the data were checked against the monitoring requirements set forth in Exhibit B of <br />the permit application. All required monitoring has been completed. <br />REVEGETATION <br />Cover appeared good throughout the site. <br />SLIDES AND DAMAGE <br />No new rills or gullies were found on the Eckman Park site despite significant <br />rainfall that occurred on August 9 (nearby Seneca II Mine reported a few inches of <br />rainfall that day). <br />Slopes appeared stable on the permanent overburden stockpiles. <br />Page 3 <br />
