III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection The comments include discussion of observations made <br />dunng the inspection. Comments also descrbe any enforcement acUOns taken dunng the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action <br />This was a partial inspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division of Minerals <br />and Geology. This former underground mine is reclaimed. Remaining buildings and <br />structures are approved to remain as permanent structures Ground conditions were dry <br />and the weather was warm. Mr. Albert luppa, was contacted but did not participate in the <br />inspection. <br />Hydrologic Balance <br />The sediment pond held water but was not discharging. Vegetation has dried- <br />down due to the end of the growing season rapidly approaching. Perennial grasses are <br />abundant on the refuse slope and appear to help minimize the formation of rills and gullies. <br />
