The operator has backfil-led the old abandoned portal near the north permit boundary. <br />The diversion ditch was filled in as a result of the reclamation work, and the affected <br />section should be reestablished by August 5, 1983. <br />Revegetation (4.15) <br />1. Fair establishment of vegetation seeded in the Fall of 1981 was noted in the vicinity <br />of the sediment pond. Crested wheatgrass (A ro ron cristatum), intermediate wheatgrass <br />(Agropyron intermedium), and pubescent wheatgrass A ro ron trico horum) were present on <br />embankment slopes and Russian wi~ldrye (E1 us junceus slender wheatgrass (A r_oPYro~n <br />trachycaulum), and streambank wheatgrass gropyron riparium) were present e ob 7 w the <br />sediment pond along the drainage. The dominant species which have colonized the old spoil , <br />piles are Indian ricegrass (Or zo sis h ienoides), four wing saltbush (Atri lex canescens), <br />and rubber rabbitbrush (Chr sothamnus nauseosus Big sagebrush (Artemisia tridentata <br />and juniper (juniperus,scoQu orum are t e dominant woody species ~~d~acent to t e isturbed <br />area. Understory species include western ~•~heatgrass (Agro roi: sm~ithii), needle and thread <br />ast a comata) and Kentucky bluegrass (Poa ratensis). Soi cover is generally sparse, with <br />g percentage of weedy annual fortis and c eatgrass (Bromus tec,:~rum). <br />Support Facilities Not Located at the Mine Site (4.28) <br />1. The coal load-out in Delta which is to be included in the -~erma.~ent program permit was <br />inspected. Permjt boundaries will be revised to be at least '?JO' 1'~om occupied dwellings <br />and 100' from 1st Street prior to permit issuance. No probler~s were noted. <br />
