<br />'~. <br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the <br />inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or <br />evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This partial inspection of the Blue Flame Coal Mine was conducted by Wally Erickson <br />from the DMG Durango Office, 484 Turner Drive, Building F, Suite 101, Durango, CO <br />81301, phone 1970) 247-5469. The permit for the Blue Flame Coal Mine was revoked <br />over 5 years ago. Financial warranty was forfeited and utilized for final reclamation. <br />No activities were observed, no personnel encountered during the time of this <br />inspection. <br />No change from the last inspection. <br />Mine entrance roads have remained to provide access to adjacent agricultural fields. <br />Knapweed was observed on one of the access roads. Mine identification sign remains <br />at the mine entrance. <br />Backfilled and graded areas were well vegetated and stable, evidence of slope failure, <br />slope movement or excessive erosion was not observed. Reclamation vegetation was <br />dense and diverse and appeared at least equal in extent of cover to surrounding <br />vegetation of undisturbed areas. <br />
