III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the <br />inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or <br />evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />A portion of the railroad spur is also being demolished. The rail bed gravel is being taken to the area just west of <br />the loadout and the rail bed dirt is being taken to the partially reclaimed highway coal stockpile area. The former <br />rail line disturbed area is being graded and will be seeded in the spring. Silt fence is being used for sediment <br />control in the meantime. The result of this project also looks very good. <br />Hiehwav Coal Stockpile <br />This site has had the coal removed and the azea was covered in dirt and seeded. The dirt from the reclaimed rail <br />bed project is being temporarily stored at this site. The mine ID sign at the entrance was up and surface <br />disturbance markers were present. The road was muddy but passable. The sediment pond had a small amount of <br />ice covered water in it. The cut slope was stable. <br />Well Field <br />The entire site was covered in snow. The entrance road was graded. The mine ID sign was up at the entrance <br />and surface disturbance markers were up azound the site. The topsoil stockpile sign was also up. There were no <br />problems with the topsoil stockpile and with the pump house. <br />Records <br />The records were in compliance.
