III. COMMENTS-COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />On July 17, 1998, William J. Carter from the Division of Minerals and Geology, performed a partial <br />inspection of the Ohio Creek mine number two. During this inspection the weather was clear and <br />warm. <br />Roads• <br />The Gunnison County road between the homestead and the mine has not been maintained this yeaz and <br />is showing some minor damage from rutting. <br />Hydrologic Balance: <br />All the ditches and the sedimentation pond were dry during this inspection. <br />Revegetation• <br />Vegetation at the site is progressing as expected. <br />Slides and Damaee: <br />No slide or new erosion damage was observed during this inspection. <br />Others• <br />• Weed Control: <br />No noxious weeds were observed at the time of the inspection. <br />
