This inspection was conducted as part of [he Division of Minerals and Geology's monitoring program. Present at the <br />inspection were Kate Pickford, DMG and Jerry Carpenter and Amber Carpenter, operators. Weather at the time of the <br />inspection was partly cloudy, calm, and approximately 55 degrees. <br />2. A sign was posted at the entrance to the site and the boundaries were marked. According to Mr. Carpenter, material from <br />the pit is used periodically for highway projects. A topsoil stockpile was present on the site with some vegetation established <br />on the topsoil. Runoff at the site appears to be contained within the permit boundaries. Halegeton was present at the site but <br />appears to have been sprayed, possibly by the owner of the property. Other noxious weeds were not present at the site. <br />3. All activities and completed work at the time of inspection appeared to be following the guidelines set forth in the mining <br />plan for the pit. Alt operations and conditions at the time of the inspection fall within regulations.
