The original permit allows five (5) acres major disturbance and five (5)
acres minor disturbance. It is clear from the inspection that actual
disturbance exceeds these figures.
2. Upon reviewing the original permit commitments, the 1982 Annual Report
Map, and upon inspecting the site, the staff believes that the $6,500.00
is not sufficient financial warranty coverage for reclamation.
3. The file contains no annual report maps since 1982.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please provide the following information within sixty (60) days:
1. A map which complies with Rule 2.12 of the Mineral Rules and
Regulations, clearly depicting permit boundaries and the actual extent
(acres) of disturbance;
2. Estimates of present site slope gradients at various locations along the
pit boundary;
3. Estimates for topsoil stockpile volumes (cubic yards); and,
4. Updated reclamation cost estimates.
5. All information submitted should be of sufficient quality to satisfy the
annual report requirements as specified in Rule 2 of the Minerals Rules
and Regulations.
DB/mis
2066E
