<br />III. COMMENTS • COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the inspection. Comments also <br />describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />On April 19, 1999, William J. Carter, Dan Hernandez, Byron Walker, and Joe Dudash from the Division of Minerals and Geology, <br />performed a complete inspection of the Eastside Mine. The weather was clear and warm during this inspection. <br />After April 30, 1999 William J. Carter will retire and at that time the Eastside Mine will become the responsibility of Bryon Walker, P.E. All <br />communications should be directed to Mr. Waker. <br />Availability of Records: <br />See "DMG Availability of Records" attached. <br />Hydroloaic Balance: <br />• Ditches were found to be in good condition and functional at the time of this inspection <br />• The sedimentation pond was dry and was in good condition during the inspection. <br />• The downdrain was stable at this time. <br />Reveaetalion• <br />Vegetation is progressing as expected. <br />Slides and Damaee: <br />No active slides, slumping or other erosion was observed during this inspection. <br />
