Letter
"Testing dures for the Gob Pile at the
Mountain Coal Mine, Somerset, CO", of 1/24/96
(Permit No: C-80-007)
I have read the copy of the above referenced letter copied to my
attention. Mr. Norm Johnston, P.E. had telephone me to discuss
this topic several weeks ago, at the direction of Mr. Barbe of MCC.
We had an informative discussion on that occasion. The letter
accurately portrays the test procedures Mr. Johnston and I
discussed. This methodology is acceptable. I believe it's
implementation should serve to eliminate the unfortunate confusion
which has existed regarding the density testing of the MCC
facilities in the past.
cc: Henry Barbe, P.E., Mountain Coal Company
Norman W.
