(Page 2J
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: nn_t97R_3d9
INSPECTION DATE: nui11'i/ns INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: .-KAi?
OBSERVATIONS
l .This inspection wos conducted as part of Division of Minerals and Geology's four-year monitoring plan.
Present at the inspection were Kate Pickford, DMG, Don Coram, Gold Eagle Mining, Inc., and Dan Burns, U.S.
Department of Energy (DOE). Weather at the time of the inspection was clear to partly cloudy, calm, and
approximately 80 degrees.
2. An appropriate sign is posted at the site. During the last monitoring inspection, conducted on March 15,
2002, it was noted that the waste rock pile had encroached to the east permit boundary line. Though concern
was conveyed in the previous report that the pile may slough or expand beyond the boundary, the pile has not
expanded beyond the permit boundary line. There were no signs of toxic or contaminating materials in the
dump material.
3. There is a steel storage building and a steel portal shed located on the permit site. Topsoil is stockpiled in a
berm configuration. The previous inspection report expressed concern regarding the presence of weeds at the
site. The weeds currently appear to be controlled at the site and spraying to manage weeds was being
conducted during this inspection.
4. Mr. Coram stated that Gold Eagle Mining, Inc. will be reopening the mine soon. Bond for this site is held both
by the Division and the Department of Energy, The DOE currently holds the bulk of the bond and the total
amount appears adequate for reclamation of the site.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Ikon Coram
OPERATOR: bold Eagle Mining Inc.
STREET: A45 E.
