<br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during <br />the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the <br />facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the La Plata Coal Mine for the month of November, 2000. The site <br />remains stable and recent snows have for the most part melted. <br />ROADS: The reclaimed roads are stable and well vegetated. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE: Vegetative growth is very good at this site therefore erosion is at a minimum. <br />No signs of any new erosion were noted at this time. <br />GENERAL MINE COMPLIANCE: The overall condition of the mine is excellent. Since the mine has <br />completed a Phase 2 bond release and hydrologic structures are not required, very little changes at the <br />site. There is no evidence that any off site damages have occurred at this mine. bar ditches and roadside <br />ditch to be repaired and/or re-established. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS: Overall condition of the site's reclamation is excellent <br />
