t <br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This aerial inspection was flown on January 30, 2000. There were no compliance problems observed <br />during the overflight. The aerial pictures were examined on February 7, 2000. The mine site was <br />aLnost completely cleaz of snow. <br />Roads <br />The entrance road, the road to the west side gob pile and up to Elk Creek, the road to the east side gob <br />pile and the road to the Sanborn Creek portals appeared to be in good shape. <br />Hvdrologv_ <br />There was almost no water in Pond B. There were no signs of erosional gullying at the mine site. <br />Facilities <br />A train was being loaded but there were no signs of fugitive dust problems at the loadout. No fugitive <br />dust problems were seen at the stacker tubes or at the east side gob pile either. No problems with any <br />of the other facilities were observed. <br />No stability problems were observed with the placed coal waste at the east side gob pile. <br />There were no signs of geotechnical instability with any of the cut and fill slopes at the mine site. <br />c:\ms97\sanbom\insp0100 <br />
