.~. <br />(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-14RJ-i SS <br />INSPECTION DATE: <br />INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ~LC- <br />The Division conducted a monitoring inspection of the site as part of sites to be inspected during the 2000- <br />2001 fiscal year. The site is a large 112 operation located South West of the City of Fountain. Present during <br />the inspection were Mark Heffner and Dan Chavez of Centennial Materials. Inspected the settling pond area, <br />fines from the washed product are utilized to back fill the pond. No washing of processed material was <br />taking place at the time of the inspection. Inspected the main gravel mining and processing area. Large <br />stockpiled processed materials were noted on the pit floor. High walls appeared stable. Pit was active at the <br />time of the inspection. A crusher and screen were located in the area. In anticipation of mining, the <br />Southern portion of the permit area was being stripped of topsoil. No major problem noted. Inspected the <br />old pit area, it has been reclaimed. Reclaimed slopes appeared stable and vegetated. No major erosion <br />features noted. Inspected the furthest North East corner of the permit area where the scale used to be <br />located at, the entire are was being reclaimed. According to the operator's representative, it will be seeded <br />sometime this fall.
