The operator was contacted prior to the inspection, and a message
was left, to notify them about the inspection, but the call was not returned.
The drainage features of the site were inspected ,concentrating on the river channels and the confluence of the rivers. No
significant signs of erosion or instability were noted. It appears that the sediment control system was taxed, but operated as
designed.
The operator still has not submitted the release request for the area owned by the USFS, as required by the Mined Land
Reclamation Board. This release must be submitted as soon as possible so this area of non-compliance can be removed from
the reclamation permit boundary. As specified in the 5-25-2000 inspection report, if documentation of seeding of the old placer
tailings removal area can be provided, then that area can be included in the release request as well.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Steve Shuey at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand Junction
Field Office, 101 South 3id Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, phone no. 970-243~'i368.
I & E Contact Address
NAME
OPERATOR
STREET
CITY/STATE/ZIP
David Ballode
Telluride Gravel.
