III. Comments/Compliance
This was a partial inspection conducted by Jim Burnell of CDMG on the morning of Tuesday,
June 24, 2002. This site was quiet and deserted. The weather was hot, dry and clear.
At the East Mine, the area below the road that was amended last year, was very green.
Most of the new growth was milkvetch, although there was a great deal of grasses in some
areas. There was also some scattered whitetop with a patch beside the boulder next to the
road, that has now died off for the season.
The ditches were all dry. Seeps in the slump areas above the road were completely dry also.
At the Middle Mine, there was good grass growth above the road. The whitetop that was
there last year could not be found. Below the road (on the river side), there were scattered
patches of whitetop.
At the West Mine, the vegetation was excellent, with thick grasses and numerous shrubs.
The pond was dry. Pond embankments were stable. There was no evidence of siltation
escaping from the site.
