ORIGINAL-PUBLIC FILE (Page 2) MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: nn_los;n-1Ro INSPECTION DATE: 4/~n7 INSPECTOROS INITIALS: ~_ OBSERVATIONS 1) The Division conducted a site inspection to verify what is reported on site and calculate the needed warranty to reclaim the disturbance before the SO is approved. 2) The site used to be 7 acre sand and gravel operation that was operated by E1 Paso county Road and Bridge department. Located approximately 15 ,miles South East of Ellicott Colorado 3) On March 5, 2007, Rocky Mountain Materials applied to succeed the operation fro E1 Paso County. 4) On 4/10/07 with Tom Smith of Rocky Mountain Materials present, the site was inspected. All the affected area has been reclaimed approximately 4 acres. A couple of rip raps along the South side of the pit walls have been placed ~to protect from erosion, as recommended by the Division. 5) Mr. Tom Smith stated that even though Rocky Mountain materials is going to succeed the operation, they don't plan to mine in the are, until they submit a conversion application. Until such time, only the County will be removing materials, with in the 7 permitted acres. Since the original Division approved reclamation plan does not have an adequate seed mix in place, and since Rocky Mountain Materials is going to convert the site into a 112 soon, a seed mix from another pit in the vicinity was used to calculate the warranty. 6) Permit sign and boundary markers were properly displayed. 7) The Financial warranty for the entire 7 acres, even though the 4 acres have already been reclaimed is included with this inspection report as suggested by Tom Smith.
