The
bermed area has recently been repaired and lined with rock. The 4 inch pipe has been changed
to a 6 inch pipe, which was approved under minor revision 12. The long pond was full of water
and was discharging into T-1 and T-2. T-2 was no longer flowing into the sediment pond. The
sediment pond contained water, but well below the spillway.
Backfilling & Grading The backfilled and graded area showed no signs of instability or erosion.
The portal door has been completely torn apart by vandals. The door is hanging on by one hinge.
The poral seal, located roughly 30 feet in, appears intact. Afire ring was noted in front of the
portal, and some wood timbers surrounded the area. The operator was immediately notified of
this problem.
Revegetation Vegetation is well established at the mine site. Numerous grasses and shrubs
were noted.
