This processing and loadout site has been inactive since June 2001
after the closure of the Lorencito Mine (#C-96-084). The purpose of this inspection was to
follow-up on the completion of reclamation work associated with a pending Phase I bond
release (SL-02) for the site. A bond release inspection on June 23. 2005 resulted in the
identification of a short list of tasks remaining to be completed prior to a proposed decision
on the bond release. The operator and applicant had requested additional time to complete
this remaining work. Ground conditions on this day were dry and the weather was
unseasonably mild.
Hydrologic Balance
•},~ ~.
r ::.~.
• '~:
..~ • ,
.r
F ~]~
a r. ^.~ t ,.
! k~'
- ~. 1 .-9~.l'n .vim ~,~'
a y T `r~, ~ 'y ~[, y~g~1
11 ~ :Sri ~'F.J :~~~;, -•, - -
~fy/y7~ r /G~~ ~ r., r .tom `/ .~{~~~ j .
~!+i~. ~ .141. i ~ .~
As shown in the photo above, riprap had been added to culvert outflow channels across a
narrow strip of reclamation south of Highway 12 as noted in the 6/23/2005 report.
