G <br />Below ere comments on the irrepectlon. The comments Urdude dlecrraslon of observatlons made <br />during the irrepectlon. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the Inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the erforcement action. <br />Three aerial photographs were taken of the Hawk's Nest Mine site by Harry Ranney from the Division <br />of Minerals a~ Geology on April 1, 1998. This photograph was reviewed by William J. Carter of the <br />Divisiart of Minerals and Geology on Apri19, 1998. <br />B4ld~: <br />Old State Highway 133 is clear end appears W be in good condition. <br />The sediment pond contains frre water, but is well below the primary outlet. <br />Slides and Di.nian• <br />Rill damage is visible south of the Old State Highway 133 below the east portal. <br />• Accaading to these photographs, the area south of Old Highway 133 (below the east portal) Is <br />lacking adequate vegetation on about 50 percent of the area. <br />• Smell areas around the east portal appear tp lack adequate vegetatlon. <br />• Some small areas below the west portal appear m also be lecldng in vegetation et this tlme. <br />
