The acids and the base can cause severe burns. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDRE <br />Enclosed are 2- sample bottles as listed below: <br />red label one liter plastic (containing nitric acid) <br />yellow label one liter plastic (containing sulfuric acid) <br />yellow 4abel one liter glass (containing sulfuric acid} <br />~ green label one liter plastic (containing sodium hydroxide) <br />-J-white label one liter plastic <br />white label one liter glass <br />white label 4 oz glass <br />snap-cap plastic (containing sodium thiosulfate tablet) <br />orange label one liter plastic (containing zinc acetate solution) with attached small vial of sodium <br />hydroxide <br />Do NOT rinse the bottles before filling them with sample. <br />Fill each bottle separately from the tap. <br />Fill all bottles to the neck (except as directed below) and tighten lid securely. <br />Do NOT mir, contents of sample bottles together. <br />Label each bottle with sample location, date and time with a waterproof marker. <br />PLEASE PERFORM THE ADDITIONAL ITEMS CHECKED OFF BELOW <br />[ ] For Lead or Lead and Copper from household plumbing samples, take a First Draw sample without flushing <br />the pipes first. See the attached page titled "SAMPLING PROTOCOL FOR LEAD IN WATER FROM <br />HOUSEHOLD PLUMBING" for additional detailed instructions. <br />[ ] For Lead from submersible pumps, see the attached page titled "SAMPLING PROTOCOL FOR LEAD IN <br />WATER FROM SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS" for additional detailed instructions. <br />[ ] For Radon in Water, see the attached page titled "RADON IN WATER, SAMPLE COLLECTION <br />PROCEDURE" for additional detailed instructions. <br />[ ] For Coliforms, see the attached special instructions. <br />[ ] Complete the appropriate sections of the attached Colorado Department of Health reporting forms and <br />return them with the sample. <br />f1(] Complete the appropriate sections of the attached Chain of Custody form and return it with the sample`~~M1 , a. <br />[}(] Return the samples to the lab within ~_ days of sample collection.Frexs.- ~ ;4 blo~*r F4~ 7 <br />[ ] Allow the water to run for 10 to 15 minutes before taking the sample.
