III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE ~/ . ~; <br />P~y~ rMood <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include di3~ssion of observations <br />made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during <br />the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a Partial inspection of the Twin Pines Mine conducted by Jim Stark of CDMG, <br />The bond for this site was forfeited affer reclamation was completed. The weather <br />was cool and sunny and the ground was dry. <br />The portal area appeared to be stable and in good condition. The site was well <br />vegetated and in good condition. The remaining pond at the portal bench <br />appeared to be stable. It was well vegetated and dry. The road leading to the <br />portal bench ha some minor erosion but appears to be stable. It is also filling in with <br />vegetation. The remaining highwall appeared to be stable and in good condition. <br />The coal sales/tipple area was in good condition. The remaining pond contained a <br />small amount of water at the bottom. The pond appeared to be stable. It was well <br />vegetated and in good condition. The mine site appeared to be well vegetated. <br />There was little grazing at this site during the past summer and the overall condition of <br />this area has improved greatly. The access road to this part of the mine is a county <br />road. <br />Overall both areas at the Twin Pines Mine are in good condition, <br />
